Greg Berdych

 

    Greg and Jackie come to us from the east coast having been born and raised in Rochester, New York. They attended the same high school, but did not meet each other until they found themselves working at the same restaurant after graduation. They started their life together as husband and wife in 1976. In 1979, God blessed them with a son, Tom, and in 1982, a daughter, Kristen. In 1988, they followed the Lord to Vermont where they were to spend the next nine years serving Him. In the process of doing special needs foster care in Vermont, they adopted Melissa, who became the final addition to the family. For many years, they asked the Lord if He wanted them to enter full-time ministry. The answer was just to wait. In 1996, the waiting ended as they followed the Lord to Boston, MA and Eastern Nazarene College to prepare for the work God wanted them to do.

    Having graduated from ENC in 1999 with a B.A. in religion, Greg and Jackie moved to Kansas City for Greg to attend Nazarene Theological Seminary. In preparing for the move to the Midwest, they asked God to lead them to the place where He wanted them to serve. That place became Southwood. Greg and Jackie quickly became involved in many areas of ministry seeking to help Southwood be the "Kingdom of God" here in this place. Their ministry seeks to share with others the intimate relationship that God desires to have with each one of us.
