Dianna Potter
Dianna grew up on Long Island, NY attained her
Associates Degree in Business Administration at Suffolk County Community
College and her Bachelor’s in Business Management at SUNY Old Westbury. She
has been employed the area of bookkeeping and June 1989 accepted a position
in the airline industry.
Dianna became a Christian in early 1989 and from the
very beginning sensed a call to ministry. Within the first three months of
being a Christian, she became involved in outreach and prayer. While living
in NY she ministered in the areas of outreach, prayer, youth mentoring and
feeding the homeless in NYC. Dianna began working towards her Master’s
degree part time in 1997 at Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack NY and
relocated to Kansas City to continue her studies at Nazarene Theological
Seminary in 2000. Dianna earned her Masters of Divinity in 2006 from NTS.
Since 2000 Dianna has lived in Raytown and served at Southwood
for the majority of those years. She also served as an
associate pastor in the inner Kansas City area. Since 2006, she has served
at Southwood as a bi-vocational pastor in the area of Compassionate/Helping
Ministries, Outreach and Prayer while continuing her full time employment
(currently in the airline industry). She is passionate about: prayer, seeing
people come to a full understanding of what it means to be a child of God,
helping people access resources and change life patterns detrimental to
their finances and health, and connecting people to God and Loving God and
Loving people regardless of who they are or where they come from.
In addition to serving at Southwood Dianna is involved
in chapters of an International Christian motorcycle organization and an
International Women’s motorcycle organization in the Kansas City area.
Dianna started riding motorcycles in 2000.
