MEET THE PASTOR
Mike Stipp
Mike Stipp
serves as the Pastoral Services Coordinator in Clergy Development for the
Church of the Nazarene. His work
at the
Global
Ministry
Center
involves planning workshops and conferences for pastors in the
USA
and
Canada
and is responsible for creating print resources for pastors. Mike also
oversees web resources for clergy and helped facilitate 5 clergy prayer
summits throughout the
US
. In November 2008, Rev. Stipp was invited by the Southwood church board to
serve the congregation as Transitional Pastor.
Rev. Stipp has over 20-years of ministry
experience and has pastored three churches in
Illinois
and
Indiana
. He is a graduate of
Olivet
Nazarene
University
and Nazarene Theological Seminary.
Mike grew up on a farm near
Hoopeston
,
Illinois
where he learned to work and listen to the Cubs on AM radio. Mike and his
wife, Karen, live in
Olathe
, and celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary in 2008. Their
family includes three adult children and three grandchildren. Be prepared .
. . stories and pictures of the kids will be woven into his messages from
time to time!
